SMS follow-up is an additional feature. With the included toll-free number, it is available at no additional subscription cost after required registration or verification is approved. When SMS is active, each location includes 1,000 SMS segments per month; additional usage is $0.06 per segment. Optional local numbers may have separately disclosed registration, compliance, and number charges.
U.S. business texting is subject to federal law and carrier messaging requirements. MCD submits the required registration or verification information, but the review and authorization occur outside MCD. Registration may be delayed or denied, and an existing authorization may be suspended or revoked.
SMS availability is separate from the paid AI call answering and Workspace service. If SMS is unavailable, the subscription price does not change. Keep your business information accurate and continue to follow patient consent and opt-out requirements.
